I can remember the first time I stayed in a hotel that had a wake up service. Just call the operator, and tell him/her when you want to wake up. What an incredible idea! Particularly when you apply it to waking up in your Spiritual Life.
"You mean I can call the Source, God, and say I am ready to wake up, now! Please give me a wake up call at ages 17, 25, 42, 56, and 81. Please keep trying to get me because I'm going to be very busy with my life and will need lots of repeated wake up calls to get it."
"Oh, of course, if all else fails, just give me one good blast on my way out. That should do it. I'm sure I'll see the Light. When I'm dying, I won't be busy doing anything else. I can give you my undivided attention then. Remember, don't give up on me just because I haven't been listening." |
